We help nonprofit leaders turn board fundraising from a source of avoidance into a practical, human way to open doors.
The Board Moves Method grew out of a pattern we kept seeing across nonprofit organizations: board members cared deeply about the mission, but many were hesitant, unclear, or anxious when fundraising entered the conversation.
That hesitation rarely comes from lack of commitment. More often, it comes from a misunderstanding of the role. Many board members hear “fundraising” and assume they are being asked to make a direct ask for money. We help them see a more useful and realistic role: opening doors, sharing why the work matters to them, and transferring trust to the organization.

Our approach is practical, facilitative, and grounded in how people actually behave. We do not hand board members a script and ask them to become someone else. We help them understand their own connection to the work, identify the people in their network who may care, and take a first step that feels clear and possible.
